The reason why it isn't exporting is because your materials aren't set up properly. There are a multiple warnings for incorrectly set up materials while exporting and one error (which ultimately prevents the export completely), the material "misc 2 generic" has no shader information. Here's some info about material and shader setups: http://forum.zmodeler3.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=7350

There is one big other thing: Your added equipment is not going to work, it needs to be attached and compounded. Take a look at this: http://forum.zmodeler3.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=7353

Manually saved z3d files usually have a lower size, since they are compressed (unlike auto saves). In this case, it seems like all textures are stored in the z3d file instead of being seperate. I have to admit, I have never seen that before and I have no clue how to change it.

Lastly, please don't post a car's complete z3d file without any credits. It's usually sufficient to post a picture of the messaging bar at the bottom in case of errors during import or export, for further issues screenshots of the hierachy and the material browser are helpful. I have removed the link.[/staffnotice]

I've added the 1942 plate to the first post. The original California plate is lower than the default plate, so I tried to convert that design to the default size. GreenAid: I hope it's what you expected, if not, please tell me what I could change.

If anybody else has requests or suggestions for license plates, no matter whether they're based on any real ones or are fictional, feel free to post here and I'll see what I can do.

The Retro Edition has been released and an update for the original version was uploaded.

A 2011+ version with dmv.sa.gov text and a 1956 plate as requested by GreenAid was added to the first post.

The retro plates should be ready now:

Going to release them together with the update for the current version, which is still in progress. I've also started working on the 1956 plate and a 2011+ plate with dmv.sa.gov text at the bottom.

That wasn't really my point, I wouldn't have bothered editing the carcols anyway ^^

I was referring to the shape of the license plate, it's a little bit lower than the current plates. I could either create the texture with the original shape and scale it to the texture or try to convert the design to the current format.

For those interested, the retro version is going to take a little bit longer as I'm having to update the normal version again. The text on top will be positioned more accurately.

    Both cars are now released.

That texture looks very good and would probably fit well for a car with a templated license plate, but wouldn't really work together with this mod, as it's meant to enhance the default San Andreas plates. Additionally, my textures have a much lower resolution and barely use any shadow or shine effects as I can use normal maps for that.

Depending on what GreenAid has in mind, I'm probably going to try to convert that design to the current format and upload the textures here. It will require manual edits of the carcols to change the text color. I have a few different things that I'm going to work on before doing that, though.

    Now released:

Let me see what I can come up with for the 1942 plate.

What do you have in mind? To get the most realistic result, it would need a custom texture and model, but that way it wouldn't really work unless it's a single car. The best way is probably to convert that design to the current format.

The front plates never have expiration stickers, so having no stickers would be as unrealistic as having them in the front and the back. Unfortunately that's something that can't be changed with a mod. The current textures will get an option without any stickers.

I will make the retro pack as well then, with the 1987 plates instead of the current ones. The stickers will be a mix between the two styles of older stickers (this and this) with different colors and no year. The exempt plate will just have the SA EXEMPT text with the old font, like the default one.

The 1956 plate would probably be easy, but the 1942 has a different format, I'm not sure what would be the best way to do that. I'll consider seperate textures when the two complete versions are released.

    Edit:

Well, the real question is: When will be the LSPD slicktop Caprices released?

    That's the main question

That's not a question for this thread, though ;)

I could include a version without stickers at all, but no expiration year (like the default sticker) would look a little bit empty. I've actually considered making a retro version (with the older white plate) as well, but the exempt plate wouldn't work without carcols edits, and I wouldn't really want to include that with a texture mod.

I've seen a pic of an unmarked Caprice in an LAPD group on flickr a while ago: https://www.flickr.com/photos/26423305@N00/22634288223/

There's also a pic of another unmarked Caprice with a Spectralux: https://www.flickr.com/photos/146280704@N07/31996010736/

I haven't seen any pictures or videos of unmarked LASD cars with a Spectralux, so my best guess is LAPD. It's most likely a 9C3 though, so I'd guess it's used either for detectives or administrative uses. Either way, it's probably rare.

    Update: Now released!

To complement Kane104's marked LAPD-style LSPD Caprice, I've been working on two more versions: a slicktop and an unmarked 2013 Chevy Caprice PPV 9C1.

They're based on LAPD's older unmarked and slicktop setups with Federal Signal Cuda TriOptics dash and deck lights. Although the LAPD does seem to actually use unmarked Caprices with the FS Spectralux, this setup is completely fictional.

Both cars are currently being tested and are hopefully ready for release very soon.

Looks very good, great work with the updated materials. You probably noticed it already, but it looks like the side of the bumper has a different material than the front. Also, the texture on the top of the trunk lid on the last pic is green and pink, if it's a small texture, you could maybe use a different compression, otherwise you'll probably have to adjust the colors.

I'm looking forward to the finished car!

I've recently started using NaturalVision and adapted the visual settings, the emergency lights are brighter and there's a difference between the brightness of the tail light, brake lights and turn signals. The settings can be found in the first post.

Unfortunately, during certain hours at sunrise and sunset with most weathers, there's no bloom effect at all. This seems to be an issue with NaturalVision's timecycles.
