276 tries doesn't seem like an issue to me
Damn, I'd love to have your persistance.

Looks good!
However, I would consider the following steps:
- Bring down the incraments on the cylinder shape to reduce polygons. You're currently at 1.6k tris for each horn which I think is too high. I think bringing down the incraments half the amount of what you currently have is a good option.
- Add LOD's. As this is a external part that you see outside of the vehicle, I think making LOD's is a good idea to reduce performance impact.
If you have any questions about either of these, please let me know.
where did you get that scba bottle
Looks to be the one used in the game. Should be able to find it under props in OpenIV.
Please check the points below if you've tried them.
- Change the diffuse color on the rim. Then change the specmap color to a baby blue/bright blue. Usually when you're unable to change colors on rims or any other mesh the specmap is set to use "vehicle_generic_smallspecmap", this causes the mesh to utilize the brightest spec possible and will cause the mesh to turn into chrome.
- If the dirtmap does not assign properly, make sure you've UV-mapped the rim to use UV channel #2.
If you need any more help, please let me know.
Are you using Zmodeler? If so, do the following steps:
1. Download OpenIV this can be done here; https://openiv.com/
2. When you've downloaded the program and installed it, open it and navigate over to "steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\x64e.rpf\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf\"
3. When you've done that, export "coach.yft and coach_hi.yft" to your desktop. I'm fairly sure the door to enter this vehicle slides.
4. In zmod, uncompound the door and take the dummy.
If "coach" doesn't have the sliding door dummy, you can look around in vehicles.rpf on other vehicles and see which one has it.
Let me know if you need any other help.
To create this function, you'll have to make use of the sliding_door dummy. This can be found on lore "mom vans" with the sliding doors.
Take the dummy from the door and compound it in to your drawer mesh. You'll have to make some tweaks to the rotation etc to get it to properly open with the trunk.
You're going to have to be a bit more specific with what you mean. Non-Els lighting? ELS? Do you have a video of the issue? Pictures?
Great work, such a simple part but very much needed!
Solid work Terry! Love to see it.
Hey, i have a problem, when i'm trying to merge the lightbar my Zmodler crashes.
Did i do something worng?Have a great Day/Night
Do you have a legit copy of Zmodeler?
Very nice update!
So useful! Love it.
I'd recommend checking on https://www.gta5-mods.com/ as they've got the widest collection of civilian vehicle models.
It is based on the vehicles.meta to function.
Add:
<type>VEHICLE_TYPE_AMPHIBIOUS_AUTOMOBILE</type>
to your vehicle "type" section of the meta.
How many polygons is your model in total?
Wow, been a minute once again. Glad to be back.
As mentioned in the previous post, I left for a 3 1/2 month long trip around Europe with a 30yr old campervan. Now I am back.
The Tahoe is back in the works, continuously being worked on numerous sides to cover as much as possible of what I have motivation for at the moment. Big news, I finally have it in-game! Feels so good and I'm definitely more motivated now than I was before.
Current progress:
- Body (Frame, bodyshell, grill) 75%
- Wheels (Will have one more set of PPV steelies) 100%
- Exterior detailing (headlights, taillights, emblems) 55%
- Interior (Door panels, interior, dash, seats) 20%
For those wondering, I do not have an estimate of when this will be out as I want it to be as complete as possible directly at release.
Any questions, comments, concerns, feel free to send me a dm @ Billy Johnsson#1549 on Discord.
Fanstastic work as per usual.
