Help with 3d Modeling

  • I've began creating my own LEO vehicles for fivem, but I'm wanting to take it a step further and learn how to 3d model my own parts. More specifically: I want to 3d model a soundOff Signal nForce NXT for use on a charger build.

My problem is that I have very little experience in this field and it has been difficult to find helpful guides/tutorials for how to go about this endeavor. I am seeking either guidance on where to find educational information to help me down this path, or someone willing to lend me a hand and teach me the ropes.

    Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Just for fun, here is a couple of vehicles I have already created with freely available parts from other devs!

  • Since you're already working on cars I'm going to assume that you're already familiar with ZModeler. It's not the best option for 3d modeling, but it works well enough for simple parts, I created many of my models with ZMod. If you're looking for something better, Blender is a popular free tool for 3d modeling. You'll find a lot of beginner tutorials all over the internet and if you have any questions, feel free to post in the 3D Modeling forum, there's a good chance that somebody here can help.

  • Thanks for the reply.

I'm familiar with Zmod, but I'm trying to learn Blender. My issue is that I don't have any background in this sort of thing so I'm as green as they come. I'm looking for recommendations for tutorials/guides that would be helpful to me. A lot of the ones I've found on YouTube for example have been a little too advanced for me.

  • An older version of this was the first tutorial I used to learn the basics:
