BCSO 2016 FPIU (Federal Signal Valor), Version 1.1 by KLE0

It is strongly recommended to use the included DLC to simplify installation. It will replace sheriff2 by default.

Please note, this vehicle is ELS/non-ELS hybrid therefore REQUIRES the custom carcols and carvariations for the lights to work.

Prerequsities (not included):
- OpenIV
- ELS (Emergency Lighting System)
- A visual/emergency light brightness enhancing mod of your choice

Features
~~~~~~~~
- Full 3-stage lighting with optional full frontal steady burn and takedown mode.
- Realistic Federal Signal Valor lighting pattern.
- Breaking glass, working dials, bullet resistant windshield, animated exhausts, high-quality dirt mappings, etc.
- Impressive and accurate environmental lighting in all stages.
- 4K livery based on San Mateo County Sheriff, Calif.
- Optimized model files and textures.
Optional Equipment
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

- ALPR cameras (extra 10: with ALPRs; extra 12: without ALPRs)

Installation
~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. Install the DLC pack
- Copy the sheriff2 folder (located inside of dlcpacks folder) into Grand Theft Auto V/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks.
2. Update dlclist.xml
- Navigate to Grand Theft Auto V/mods/update/update.rpf/common/data/dlclist.xml
- Add a new line item: <Item>dlcpacks:/sheriff2/</Item>
3. Update vehicles.meta
- Navigate to Grand Theft Auto V/mods/update/update.rpf/common/data/levels/gta5/vehicles.meta
- Replace the section for sheriff2 with the ones included in sheriff2_vehicles.meta (do not replace the entire file).
- THIS STEP IS ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED otherwise the dials will not work as intended and the lightbar will not spawn correctly.
4. Install ELS VCF
- Put sheriff2.xml to Grand Theft Auto V/ELS/pack_default
You have now completed the installation process.
Troubleshooting and Other Info
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This vehicle uses custom light and siren setting IDs as defined in the carcols and carvariations file in the DLC pack. The lights and sirens may not work correctly if there is a light/siren setting ID conflict with other mods. I cannot fully prevent this from happening because I have no idea what other mods you have installed (therefore what setting IDs are available). If you are experiencing issues with vehicle lights and/or emergency siren functions, change the light and siren setting IDs to resolve the conflict and try again.

As released, the vehicle will replace the sheriff2 slot. However, it is possible to make it an add-on vehicle by downloading an add-on DLC pack (e.g. from another vehicle mod) and swap out related files. Similarly, you can also change the replacement slot yourself by modifying the DLC files.

Special Note: There are two lightbar mounts for this vehicle, with and without ALPR, as extra 10 and 12 respectively. My vehicles.meta will ensure that all vehicles that spawn naturally will have either extra 10 or extra 12. If you use a trainer and disable both extras, the lightbar will appear floating.
